"Villa sul mare" is a rare original lithograph realized by Giorgio de Chirico in 1929. It comes from the Suite "Metamorphosis". It is hand signed and numbered. This is an edition of 100 prints. It was published in the general catalog "G. de Chirico: Catalogo dell'Opera Grafica 1921-1969", by Alfonso Ciranna, edition "La Medusa", Roma, 1969, n. 14. The widely renowned precursor of Surrealism was the Italian painter Giorgio de Chirico (1888-1978). De Chirico’s definitely ambiguous artworks of cityscapes are the most celebrated examples of a movement called Pittura Metafisica, or Metaphysical Painting.
