Published by Pierre de Tartas, Éditeur, Paris-Bièvres; printed by L'Ateliers Guillard Gourdon et Cie, Paris, 1964. Excerpted from the folio (translated from French), A unique example on Japon nacre, including original works by three painters as well as a study file, a suite of original lithographs on vélin de Lana, a suite of original lithographs in the margins of prints signed by the artists. Ten examples on Japon nacre, containing an original work by one of the painters, a voucher to be drawn from one of the plates, a continuation of the original lithographs on vélin de Lana, numbered from A to J. Thirty examples on Japon nacre with a suite of original lithographs on vélin de Lana. Numbered from 1 to 30. All the above copies have been signed by several painters. Fifty examples on vélin de Lana with a suite of original lithographs. Numbered from 31 to 80. One hundred eighty examples on grand vélin de Lana with the final state of the illustrations. Numbered from 81 to 260.
JEAN COMMERE (1920–1986) was a French artist—a painter of religious scenes, characters compositions, subjects of sports, portraits, landscapes, seascapes, still lifes, watercolorist, lithographer, designer, illustrator. He participates in numerous fairs in Sacred Art, Autumn, Independent Painters witnesses of their time, Ecole de Paris. In 1936 he enrolled at the Beaux-Arts d'Angers and between the Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1938 in the studio of sculptor Jean Boucher (1870-1939). By 1936 he participated in many group exhibitions in France and abroad.

'Place Pigalle', oil and gouache on art paper, by Lucien Génin (circa 1930s). Pigalle is well known to tourists who want to experience "Paris by night". It is home to some of Paris' most famous cabarets such as the Moulin Rouge which was immortalised by artist Toulouse-Lautrec. Lautrec's studio was here as was Picasso's, Vincent Van Gogh's and that of Andre Breton. In 1928 Josephine Baker opened her first nightclub next door to Breton's apartment. It is certainly a historical landmark of Paris and well known to so many visitors of this beautiful city.
