About the Item

This screen print was commissioned by Lincoln Center in 1981 to celebrate the Chamber Music Society in a signed and numbered edition of 144. Born in 1941, Long Beach, CA, Jennifer Bartlett is best known for her paintings and prints of mundane objects, particularly items associated with homescapes. Each work is executed in a style that combines elements of both representational and abstract art. She employs the serialization of geometric forms to create paintings of seemingly endless possibility.
