About the Item
Purple and blue hues create a sunset over blue mountains that sit above a quaint village in this beautifully picturesque vintage lithograph by Swedish artist Lennart Jirlow. This original lithograph is signed and annotated "Epreuve d'artiste" and was printed by the Atelier Mourlot in 1978 in Paris.

About the Artist:
(1936-2020) Swedish
Born in Stockholm, Jirlow studied art as the youngest student of the year under Konstfack in 1952. Post Konstfack, he went abroad traveling Holland, France, and Italy among others. Jirlow stayed in Florence for a number of years where he studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti, and lived in Provence until his death in April 2020. His work is characterized largely by his colorful and naïve subject matter, featuring motifs from (Parisian) restaurant environments and flowering gardens.
