Abstraction from time and place depicts images of untouched and solitary beauty, providing a commentary on the tension within our continually threatened natural environment and the endurance of earth’s primitive landscapes.
ABOUT THIS ARTIST: Luca Marziale, born in Lugano, Switzerland, graduated with a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He is a medium format landscape photographer who captures the relentless shaping of the natural world. Focusing on the building blocks that make up the landscape, he finds overlooked moments, personal spaces that can define a state of natural rapture - as a tribute to a world that too often eludes us.
PACKAGING: 30x40" and 40x60" prints are shipped in a special fortified tube to guard against bending or damage. Framed 30x40" prints are shipped via FedEx in a bespoke cardboard box with a fitted interior armature for the frame. We do not frame the extra large, 40x60" print sizes because they are too large to ship without risking damage.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: We ship unframed prints internationally via DHL. The international shipping cost does not include the tax & duties, which will be the responsibility of the customer. Unfortunately, because of the high shipping cost we do not ship framed prints internationally at this time.

Luca Marziale
In his work, Luca Marziale questions the concept of landscape and our idea of the classic landscape. The artist’s attention is often focused on small details which he captures with macro zoomed lens to compose the ‘micro-landscapes’, as he defines them. These photographs challenge the observer to question their perception and perspective. The landscape has become abstract, the points of reference have disappeared, and the subject of the photograph is not immediately obvious. Thanks to his refined technique and personal vision of the landscape, the artist invites the observer to discover unknown and unusual landscapes, creating an inspiring and different photographic world. “Not all landscapes have to be vast and infinite; sometimes a closer look can be immense in the same way.”
