Limited edition of 25 (11 remain). Aerial view of London, stretching from the South Bank as far as Kent in the distance. I am always looking for great views of London, views that best illustrate the beautiful lines and shapes that make it such an iconic city. To achieve this view I hung out of a helicopter with the doors taken off. It was worth the extra heartbeats. The image is then digitally manipulated to trace the outlines of the buildings, coloured on a graphics tablet, and printed directly onto brushed aluminium. This gives the piece an etched effect. A smart aluminium frame on the back makes it very easy to hang. The piece is also available in a larger size: 104 x 152 cm. Please note, this piece is made to order. Michael has spent more than twenty years in the media industry working on entertainment programmes, talk shows, documentaries, animations and a children’s novel. But creating original and innovative art is his true passion. His latest work celebrates the beauty of the city through the shapes, outlines and colours that define its character. The art is created by digitally manipulating and colouring his own photographs to produce unusual prints on aluminium, reclaimed wood, brass, even 1930’s copper-lite windows.
