Lithograph on vélin d'Arches paper. Unsigned and unnumbered, as issued. Good Condition; never framed or matted. Notes: From the folio, Dix Reproductions, 1933. Published by Editions Jeanne Bucher of Galerie Jeanne Bucher, Paris; printed by Editions John Becker of the John Becker Gallery, New York, March 15, 1933. According to the publisher (translated from French), “This edition was printed on March 15, 1933. It was drawn in 1000 examples on vélin d'Arches, format 40 x 52 cm, with the watermark J.B. Each board was stamped at the bottom at the same initials.” PABLO PICASSO (1881-1973) Spanish painter and sculptor is one of the most recognized figures of twentieth century art. During his artistic career, which lasted more than 75 years, he created thousands of works using all kinds of mediums. He changed art more profoundly than any other artist of his time. First famous for pioneering cubism, Picasso continued to develop his art with a pace and vitality comparable to the accelerated technological and cultural changes of the twentieth century. Each change embodied a radical idea, and might be said that Picasso lived several artistic lifetimes.
