Excerpted from the folio (translated from French), It was taken from this original edition: Three hundred numbered examples; 20 examples on Japon nacré, including an original sketch, a copper of the book, an additional original etching, a suite en noir sur Chine, a suite in black and color on Japon, numbered from 1 to 20; 30 examples on Japon Impérial, including an additional original etching, a noir suite on Chine, a black and color suite on Arches, numbered from 21 to 50; 50 examples on Arches, including an additional original etching and a noir suite on Chine, numbered from 51 to 100; 200 examples on Arches, numbered from 101 to 300. In addition, 5 examples were printed out of the market.
RAOUL DUFY (1877-1953) was a French painter associated with the Fauvist movement. He gained recognition for his vibrant and decorative style, which became popular in various forms, such as textile designs, and public building decorations. Dufy is most remembered for his artwork depicting outdoor social gatherings. In addition to painting, he was skilled in various other fields, including drawing, printmaking, book illustration, scenic design, furniture design, and planning public spaces. Dufy was in the milieu of Matisse and Picasso.
