Original antique Asia travel poster for Mullick Ghat Calcutta / Kolkata in India featuring artwork by the British artist Dorothy Newsome (1900-1980) showing people, some families and children socialising and washing on the ghats, the steps leading down to the Hooghly River from a grand pavilion building in a classical architecture style and trees in the background, men rowing a traditional wooden boat on the blue border with the title text above and below, the Eastern Bengal Railway company (EBR; 1857-1942) heritage crest on the side. Printed by Norbury, Natzio and Co Ltd Manchester and London. Good condition, restored folds, restored paper losses, restored tears, restored paper skimming, backed on linen.
