Gamet, n°15. De la suite les "Paysages bretons" (Série de 40 bois datés de 1890 à 1894).
Très belle épreuve avec marges. Plis médiant.
C'est en 1884 qu'Henri Rivière découvrit la Bretagne que lui vantait son ami Paul Signac et qu'il en rapporta ses premières planches à l'eau-forte. Puis, chaque année, il retourna à Saint-Briac, Loguivy, Saint-Cast, Morgat ou Tréboul. L'année de son mariage, il acheta une maison près de Loguivy, surplombant l'embouchure du Trieux. Défenseur de l’art japonais, il s’initie en 1890 à la gravure sur bois. Entre 1890 et 1914, Henri Rivière a gravé et imprimé une soixantaine de bois gravés. On trouve tout d’abord les 44 bois gravés de la série « Paysages Bretons » qui représentent des scènes de Saint-Briac, de Perros-Guirec et des environs de Douarnenez, puis les 7 bois de la série « La mer – Études de vagues ».
