Original vintage British Railways travel poster - Service To The Fishing Industry Landing the Catch at St Andrew's Dock Hull - featuring artwork by Jack Merriott (1901-1968) of fishermen working on a busy dockside with containers full of fish and men moving baskets of fish from a boat onto the dock, the title and information on the train services and distribution of supplies with the British Railways logo below: The position of Hull as our premier fishing port in terms of annual tonnage of fish depends very largely on the complete distribution over England and Wales made possible by British Railways' services... Published by British Railways North Eastern Region. Printed by Stafford & Co Ltd, Netherfield, Nottingham. Horizontal. Large size. Good condition, restored folds, restored tears, restored paper losses, staining, backed on linen.
