About the Item

Original vintage advertising poster for the Fashion Week Amsterdam 17-22 November 1952 featuring a great mid-century design of an elegant lady in a long grey high collar coat and hat leaning on the letter F forming a decorative table and holding a long green glove in her hand, the rest of the text in black letters in a curve with the windmill and scissors logo of the Fashion Week in the distance, all set on a bright yellow background. The Amsterdam Fashion Week was organised by the Dutch Women's Clothing Industry and held biannually from 1947 until the 1950s; the event was re-started in 2004. Printed by Steendrukkerij de Jong & Co. Good condition, light staining in the corners, tears on the margin.
