Original vintage cinema advertising poster for the Belgian release of the American science fiction thriller film based on the 1898 book by H. G. Wells (Herbert George Wells; 1866-1946) - The War of the Worlds / La Guerre Des Mondes - directed by Byron Haskin and produced by George Pal featuring a colourful dynamic sci-fi design showing the atomic scientist Dr Clayton Forrester played by Gene Barry hugging the terrified library science instructor Sylvia Van Buren played by Ann Robinson on the side with searchlights on the alien battle in the background shining on ships and explosions at sea with red Martian spacecrafts flying over the town in California attacking earth from their flying war machines against a dark blue background with a planet visible at the top and the title of the movie in English French and Dutch - Oorlog der Werelden - in the centre and below with the Paramount Films logo. Printed by L.&H. Verstegen Brussels Belgium. Good condition, restored creasing, backed on linen.
