Original vintage travel advertising poster for Southern Electric featuring a scenic view by Walter E. Spradbery (1889-1969) of a peaceful Surrey landscape with paths through trees and fields, colourful heather flowers growing on the hill in the foreground and the woods leading to hills in the distance, the text with a poem below - View of Oxshott Heath one hundred yards from the Station "...heather to my feet and all around, Hill tops serene, pine-clad and glory-crowned" Take the children to the sandy soil at cheap party rates by Southern Electric. Printed by Waterlow and Sons Ltd London, Dunstable and Watford. Good condition, restored tears, restored folds, restored pinholes, staining, backed on linen.
