About the Item

Mr. Brainwash, Love Catcher (Blue), 2023 Screenprint on Archival paper 22 × 22 in (55.9 × 55.9 cm) Frame included Edition 30 of 75 Mr. Brainwash, the pseudonym of Thierry Guetta, is a French-born street artist known for his vibrant, pop-art-inspired works that blend cultural icons with bold, uplifting messages. Rising to fame through the 2010 Banksy-directed documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop, Mr. Brainwash’s art fuses elements of graffiti, collage, and digital manipulation. His work often features figures like Albert Einstein, Charlie Chaplin, or musicians like David Bowie, layered with splashes of color and slogans such as “Life is Beautiful.” While some critics debate the authenticity of his persona, his energetic and optimistic style has gained international attention, leading to exhibitions worldwide and collaborations with brands and celebrities. Mr. Brainwash continues to blur the lines between street art and commercial success.
