Stone and Press Gallery is excited to offer several works in celebration of the LGBTQ community. Paul Wunderlich created a series of 12 lithographs,Twilight together with his wife, Karin Szekessy, a fine art photographer. This image is of an other worldly nude reclining on a table under a dusky moon. In an edition of 125 Painter, sculptor, engraver and lithographer, Magcal Realist Paul Wunderlich was born in Eberswalde (Germany) in 1927. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Hamburg (1947-51). Until the late '50s, the artist created figurative work (painting and printmaking), choosing his topics from modern German history. Later his work was tinged with eroticism which he treated in a surrealist manner. His art, focusing on the human form, mixed contemporary, classical and mythological references. After 1980, he devoted himself primarily to sculpture. Wunderlich is considered one of the most important representatives of "magical realism".
