About the Item

Mick Jagger X - After Andy Warhol. This black and white colour scheme lithographic print features - Mick Jagger - an iconic rock legend who was the frontman and one of the founders who sang lead in the British Rock and Roll Band, The Rolling Stones. Framed in black with black mount board, this postcard-sized print is from a set of ten announcement cards published to advertise Warhol's then soon-to-be-released portfolio of ten large silkscreen prints of Mick Jagger in 1975. The Mick Jagger series created a powerful statement about the commercialisation of celebrity. Published by Castelli Graphics, NY. Warhol's portraits of Mick Jagger and other icons have become some of the most collectable art in modern history. This is a vintage announcement card which is in excellent condition. The piece is unsigned and is sold framed in a simple frame.
