Hand-colored etching by French artist Marie Laurencin (1883-1956). Printed at Atelier Mourlot in the 1970s on fine rag paper. Although she was formed relationships with notable artists exploring Cubism, Fauvism, and Surrealism, including Picassao, Braque, and Apollinaire, her own work - etchings, lithographs, and book illustrations - is best known for its depictions of graceful, dreamy young women sensitively colored in soft pastel hues. This etching printed at Atelier Mourlot in the 1970s on fine rag paper perfectly captures a loving moment between two young girls.
