About the Work
Radiant and richly layered, Primavera (Pampinea) is a quintessential Chuck Sperry muse—an emblem of renewal and spirited grace. The Silver Variant amplifies the work’s ethereal glow: seven carefully registered silkscreen layers interact with the metallic substrate to create shifting light effects, from cool shimmer to warm halo, as you move around the print. Each pass of ink leaves subtle evidence of the hand, making every impression a unique multiple.
This sold-out variant—limited to only 20—is among the most coveted configurations from the 2021 release. Presented in mint condition, the sheet is crisp with strong edges and corners, vivid color, and immaculate surface.

Chuck Sperry is a leading figure of contemporary printmaking and poster art, celebrated for his synthesis of Art Nouveau elegance, psychedelic poster tradition, and modern graphic precision. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sperry rose to prominence through iconic rock posters and has since built a parallel fine-art practice centered on mythic female figures, intricate botanical patterning, and luminous metallic techniques. His prints are meticulously crafted—hand-pulled, multi-layered, and often printed on metallic or specially treated papers—producing a signature iridescence and depth that collectors prize.
Sperry’s visual language draws on Alphonse Mucha and the Belle Époque poster masters, the 1960s Bay Area concert-poster lineage, and classical references to myth and literature. Primavera (Pampinea) channels the archetype of Spring—rebirth, fecundity, and light—filtered through Sperry’s ornate linework and shimmering metallic grounds. The result is both timeless and unmistakably contemporary: a celebratory image that rewards close viewing with layered pattern, texture, and glow.

“Equal Rights, Flower of Democracy” Chuck Sperry Screenprint
By Chuck Sperry
Located in Draper, UT
I am very happy to reveal my poster to raise awareness for the Equal Rights Amendment. This issue means so much to me. Equality is the central issue of our day.
“Equality is the flower of democracy. Passing the Equal Rights Amendment — at long last — will be the path to gender equality for our American democracy. I am grateful to be called upon to include my voice in the collective call to bring about gender equality by amending the Constitution with passage of the ERA, and I was quick to reach out to fellow artists to join the call to action.” — Chuck Sperry, artist statement for Artists 4 ERA
