Color screenprint on wove paper. Signed and numbered 35/100 in pencil, lower right. Published by The 1977 Presidential Inaugural Committee, Washington, D.C. From the 1977 Inaugural Impressions Portfolio. The 1977 Presidential Inaugural Committee commissioned Jacob Lawrence, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg, Andy Warhol and Jamie Wyeth to capture the event for a boxed portfolio of signed prints which were limited to an edition of 100. The Inaugural Committee used the proceeds to keep museums open later and to help pay for many free cultural events in Washington during the inaugural festival, January 18-22, 1977.
