Juris Putrāms graphics artists, works in book and advertising graphics, poster art, creates installations, organizes campaigns, decorates interiors and exhibitions. The artist's work in general is characterized by a combination of intellect and emotions in postmodern alienated images, a synthesis of conceptualism and surrealism techniques, in which several types of art (graphics, painting, sculpture) are often used.
Juris Putrāms graduated from the Architecture Department of the Riga Construction Technical School (1975) and the Graphics Department of the Art Academy of Latvia (1981) with a diploma thesis “Abstract from the History of Costumes” (supervisor A.Stankevičs). Participates in exhibitions since 1977, member of the Artists' Union since 1983.
