Includes works by Karel Appel, Pagliacci; Will Barnet, Peter Grimes; Sandro Chia, Il Trovatore; Rufino Tamayo, Salome (P, 307); George Tooker, Una Ballo in Maschera; Tom Wesselmann, Lulu. Each print is hand signed and numbered by the artist with the blindstamp of the publisher. This complete portfolio of six works is number 132 from the edition of 250 (there are also 25 Artist Proofs; a deluxe edition of 25 with 10 Artist Proofs on Inomachi Nacre paper). Published by Circle Fine Arts Corporation and Metropolitan Opera Association, New York. Printed by the American Atelier, New York.
Artwork size: 30 x 22.25 inches (each); 31.5 x 23.5 inches (portfolio case).

Tom Wesselmann
Thomas K. Wesselmann (February 23, 1931 – December 17, 2004) was an American artist associated with the Pop Art movement who worked in painting, collage and sculpture. Born on February 23, 1931, in Cincinnati, Ohio, cartoonist and collagist Tom Wesselmann eventually moved to New York City to become one of the founding figures of the Pop Art movement, making waves with his "Great American Nude" series. He later became well known for his huge canvas paintings of household objects as well as his printmaking and abstract work. He died on December 17, 2004.
