About the Item
Original Concacaf (Gold) Cup American Airlines vintage poster. In excellent condition, conservation linen backed in mint condition, ready to frame. A very seldom-seen original soccer poster.
The poster, created in a pop art style with multiple colors, shows one of the soccer players in action. American Airlines Cup and a large soccer ball are in the upper left corner. Coca-Cola was a sponsor of this year's Concacaf poster; their logo is in the lower left.
CONCACAF is the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf). Concacaf is one of FIFA's six continental confederations, servicing 41 Member Associations from Canada in the north to Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana in the south.
The teams will be divided into two groups of six, each playing four matches against group opponents (two at home and two away). The top four teams will advance to the quarter-finals and will be joined by the four top-ranked teams in the CONCACAF Rankings.
Concacaf – formed in 1961 from the merger of the Football Confederation of Central America and the Caribbean (CCCF) and the North American Football Confederation (NAFC) – consists of three sub-regions: North America (3 Member Associations under the regional entity North American Football Union – NAFU- which is non-operational), Central America (7 Member Associations under the regional entity Unión Centroamericana de Fútbol - UNCAF), and the Caribbean (31 Member Associations under the regional entity Caribbean Football Union - CFU).
This is an Original Lithograph Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction.
