About the Item
Original 1943 WWII War Savings Stamps poster – “He’s Fighting For You – Join the Club” – U.S. Home Front lithograph – vintage military wall art. This poster is linen-backed and ready to frame. Note that World War II American posters were all folded when shipped across the United States; this is not considered a defect.
• Authentic 1943 original, not a modern reprint: bold WWII home front recruiting poster urging purchase of War Savings Stamps.
• Iconic design: helmeted American G.I. with headline “He’s Fighting For You,” subhead “Join the Club – A stamp a day… for the man who’s away”
• Historical significance: part of the Treasury’s national campaign encouraging civilians to buy 10¢ stamps to fill booklets, which could be redeemed for War Bonds.
• Period printing: lithograph on paper, issued in Washington, D.C., with a striking wartime palette of red, cream, and purple star insignia.
• Display ready collectible: a centerpiece for WWII, military, Americana, or propaganda art collections; ideal for study, office, den, or museum exhibit
The poster will be carefully packaged and shipped with insurance for the full purchase price. International shipping is available upon request. All posters come with a Certificate of Authenticity included in the price.
