BLESSINGS is an original hand drawn, limited edition lithograph printed by hand in black ink on archival Arches printmaking paper 100% acid free from a hand drawn lithography stone using traditional hand lithography techniques, not a photo reproduction or digital print. BLESSINGS depicts a realistic black and white portrait of a dark haired young woman, her head covered, praying near a pair of lit candles, very detailed drawing with fine grained shading and expressive lithographic tusche washes characteristic to stone lithography printmaking. BLESSINGS is in very good condition, superb craftsmanship, never been framed or mounted, pencil signed AP (Artists Proof) by Vladimir Dashevsky, printers chop mark embossed on lower corner, from the master printers private collection. Print size - 30" x 22", unframed, very good condition, slight handling on print margins, hand signed in pencil by Vladimir Dashevsky. Year printed 1975 Printer - J K Fine Art Editions Co., NY About the artist- Vladimir Dashevsky was born in 1928 in Kiev. He was graduated from the Art Academy of Kiev, and later became a member of the United Architect Union of the U.S.S.R. Mr. Dashevsky participated in numerous group shows in the U.S.S.R., and had several one-man shows as well, the last one being in 1967. As a Soviet citizen, he could not exhibit abroad, nor travel in order to show his works outside of Russia. He came to the United States in June of 1976, and since was able to make a name for himself as a portrait artist.
