About the Item

Original poster of Roberto Matta created in May 68, with the slogan: Disciples occupy the discipline. For a revolutionary discipline. Born on November 11, 1911 in Santiago, Chile, Matta graduated in architecture from the Catholic University of Santiago in 1932 and then moved to Paris to work in the studio of Le Corbusier. Along with the "wild" graffiti written on walls and banners found in the processions of demonstrations or on the facades of occupied buildings, posters were one of the preferred means of expression for those participating in the events of May-June 1968. Their characteristic iconography and the shocking slogans they put forward had a great impact and they immediately appeared as one of the signatures of the vast protest movement that was then crossing French society. Politics - May 68 For a revolutionary discipline
