The paintings of Robin Morris are her observations of life, stylized, playful, and yet challenging to the viewer. Her emotions are hidden beneath layers of color and pattern. Stepping into the public eye in 1982, with the publication of her first lithograph, "The Couple". The fifty editions that followed, firmly established her in the artistic community and enhanced her broad-based collector appeal. This print on canvas is a particularly rare image. We are please to present Ceravolo's one of a kind "Alphabet Monroe Lavender/Pink". Ceravolo has been a master of creating intriguing portraits of iconic personalities for more then 4 decades, and rose to fame when he was commissioned to create 5 large-scale portraits for the lobby of the Palladium Theatre in New York City of Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, Neil Young, Frank Zappa and Hall and Oates, In addition to those portraits, his paintings are in the private collections of Sir Elton John, Rod Stewart, Hugh M. Hefner, and Prince Jefri of Brunei to name only a few. With his new Alphabet series, Ceravolo combines an image of his stylized black and white portrait painting, with letters of the alphabet and adds color to the negative space formed by the letters. As a final touch, he places color in the letters that make up the iconic subjects first or last name. This creates a contemporary, yet classic look to this unique creation. This work is titled, "Alphabet Marilyn lavender/Pink" and is printed on Rag paper size is 36x30" framed size measures 42x36". It is a one of a kind work and is signed by Ceravolo. Garner has photographed a wide range of musicians and celebrities, including Dr. Dre, Leigh Bowery, JT LeRoy, Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, David Bowie, Cameron Diaz, PJ Harvey, John Galliano, Björk, and Kate Moss. Her work has appeared in the American and British versions of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar as well as W magazine, Interview, GQ, Vanity Fair, Elle, and The Sunday Times. Kate Garner was expelled from high school at the age of 16 and became a runaway who joined The Children Of God. To escape the grasp of the cult she hitchhiked from London through Eastern Europe to India in 1970, where she lived for a year as a traveler before being located by her parents. She attended art school at Blackpool in the North of England and later moved to London, where she began to both photograph and model for up-and-coming magazines such as The Face and i-D. Kate Garner first came widely into the public eye as one-third of the 1980s avant-garde, new wave pop project Haysi Fantayzee, along with other members Jeremy Healy and Paul Caplin. Emanating from street art scenes such as the Blitz Kids that were cropping up in London in the early 1980s, Haysi’s music combined reggae, country, and electro with political and sociological lyrics couched as nursery rhymes. Catapulted to stardom by their visual sensibilities, Haysi Fantayzee combined their extreme clothes sense – described as combining white Rasta, tribal chieftain, and Dickensian styles – with a quirky musical sound comparable to other new wave musical pop acts of the era, such as Bow Wow Wow, Adam and the Ants and Bananarama. They appeared several times on the BBC Television program Top of the Pops. Despite being touted by Bowie producer Tony Visconti as the next big thing, the group quickly disbanded after releasing three hit singles “John Wayne Is Big Leggy”, “Shiny Shiny”, and “Holy Joe”, and an album, Battle Hymns for Children Singing, that went gold. "Renee's Breakfast" depicts a simple image of three eggs on a plate with bacon, a breakfast so familiar to many, and serves as a poignant reminder of the passage of time and the transience of even the most ordinary moments. Just as the morning sun rises and sets, casting shifting shadows and changing the hues of the yolks, so does life move forward, never standing still. The sizzling bacon mirrors life's moments, fleeting and ephemeral, yet leaving behind a savory residue of memories. In this seemingly mundane tableau, we find an allegory for the ceaseless march of time, urging us to savor each bite, each moment, for they are as precious as the breakfast on our plate. John Kato...
