Born in Scotland and raised in Vancouver, McLeod’s artistic path began in the 1970s, evolving into a masterful engagement with industrial materials. McLeod’s work relentlessly interrogates themes of resilience, the relentless passage of time, and the dynamic interplay between structure and movement. He transforms heavy-duty industrial and farming components, primarily steel sourced from Alberta scrap yards, into commanding brutalist sculptures.
