About the Item
Brother Mel Meyer (American, 1928 - 2013) was a member of the Society of Mary and artist educator whose prolific output of nearly ten thousand works made him a beloved figure in Midwestern modernism. Born in Florissant, Missouri, he joined the Marianist order at age nineteen and later earned degrees from the University of Dayton and the University of Notre Dame.
