About the Item

Christopher Jeffries unique style and distinct designs reflect the hand of a dedicated, passionate and master craftsman. Through extensive international education and experience with some of today’s most inventive and renowned glass artists, he is able to innovate and execute amazing glass creations for enthusiasts and private collectors internationally. Jeffries studied sculpture and design in Italy and later was influenced by time spent in the Czech Republic, a country known for its rich traditions in hand blown glass art. He apprenticed at the prestigious Boat House in Seattle and, most recently, taught at the Corning Museum of Glass in New York. The rock series installations are inspired by the riverbeds along the Russian River, located in Northern California. Unique, fluid shapes that organic forms take on, and the textured surface that glass can have invites the viewer to come closer. Each form is different in shape and size, and with color palettes that creates different moods. Using color, Jeffries creates pathways to lead the viewers’ eye, and the empty space becomes the simple beauty in the overall composition. This composition has 13 glass rocks: 2 small,5-7 inches each 9 medium, 8-10 inches each 1 large, 12-14 You can purchase them individually or as a group. Hence, dimensions are variable. They can also be rearranged to fit a particular space.

    By Ioan Nemtoi
    Located in Milwaukee, WI
Ioan Nemtoi's 'Oval Red Karo Large Vase' could easily become a centerpiece of any space or of any collection of glass art. The large oval form of the vase and the bright red color has a commanding presence. When Nemtoi was in the fifth grade, one of his teachers noticed his artistic talent and sent him to art school. Later he went on to the art branch...
