Jane B. Grimm
Coral XVIII / coral inspired ceramic sculpture

2012

About the Item

Coral inspired ceramic sculpture by Jane B. Grimm, who began her artistic career in the 1960’s, when her free-form sculptural jewelry exploded onto the Pop Art and fashion scenes in NYC. Her designs spoke to a new generation well into the 1970's, when they were regularly featured in, and graced the covers of, Harper's Bazaar and Vogue magazines. In the 1980's, Grimm shifted her focus to clay, while she earned her MFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts, from which she graduated with high distinction. Grimm's contemporary ceramic sculptures, created entirely by hand with a low-fire method, have premiered in galleries and museums around the world.
