Ceramic wall sculpture from Pop Art pioneer Jane B. Grimm, whose minimal and meditative sculptures and wall reliefs are comprised of ceramic, using a low fire method. New works take their inspiration from nature, including colors of the sea and sky. Grimm's career began in the 1960s, when her freeform sculptural jewelry exploded onto the fashion scene in NYC. Her contemporary ceramic sculptures have premiered in galleries and museums worldwide. 'Razz Ma Tazz' is created in four parts that have been pieced together. It is a dramatic and provocative work of sculpture in sea blue and glossy white. Ceramic on wooded panel. Appropriate to display in a kitchen or bathroom, where other mediums — painting or photography — may not hold up well under the same conditions of heat, moisture and light. Painted ceramic can take full light.
