This sculpture is numbered in an edition of 50 and can be purchased on commission basis, please allow 8 - 12 weeks before shipping. The sculpture weighs about 600 lbs. Different base options are available.
At once graceful and imposing, Jeremy Guy’s Mobius sculptures are formed from black granite. The surface is like velvet to the touch; the granite subtlety flecked with copper and white. The form, a mobius strip, is a mathematical construct—a surface with only one side and one boundary discovered by August Ferdinand Mobius, a German Mathematician. (You can create your own mobius strip by taking a strip of paper, giving it a half twist and joining the ends to form a loop.)

He was born and raised in England where he completed a BA in Product Design from Leeds Metropolitan University. Since graduation in 2001 he has been a full-time sculptor. Guy emigrated to Canada in 2007. His stone sculptures can be found in public spaces and private collections around the world including Queen Ethelburga's College Sculpture Park, North Yorkshire, UK, Orchard Residences in Singapore, the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Baltimore and more.
