This sculpture is number 10 out of 50 and can be purchased on a commission basis, please allow 8 - 12 weeks before shipping. The sculpture weighs approximately 970 lbs and has a steel substructure for installation.
Smooth-surfaced, black granite, is flecked with copper and white and has been engineered into an elegant ribbon in tangible contrast to its large scale and weight. The work is aptly titled Zephyr, or a gentle breeze, a word derived from the ancient Greek zephuros, the name for the God of the West Wind. The bent form is reminiscent of the northern Canadian pines that often bow to the force of winds from the west.
This sculpture can also be made in mirror polished stainless steel, or stainless steel painted black. (Please inquire for pricing and delivery schedule).

He was born and raised in England where he completed a BA in Product Design from Leeds Metropolitan University. Since graduation in 2001, he has been a full-time sculptor. Guy emigrated to Canada in 2007. His stone sculptures can be found in public spaces and private collections around the world including Queen Ethelburga's College Sculpture Park, North Yorkshire, UK, Orchard Residences in Singapore, the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Baltimore and more.
