About the Item
Smooth surfaced, engineered black granite is sculpted into an elegant, spinning form by Jeremy Guy. This lively shape that appears to spin dynamically on its narrow base, like a pirouette on one foot, is mounted on a granite base. It is number 20 in a series of 50. This work is available by commission; please allow 3-5 weeks for delivery.
Jeremy Guy grew up in England where natural inspiration has come from the work of British modern sculptors Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth. Since completing a BA in Product Design (2001) from Leeds Metropolitan University, Guy has been in full time practice as a sculptor. He emigrated to Canada in 2007. Guy's stone and engineered stone sculptures can be found in public spaces and private collections worldwide including Queen Ethelburga's College Sculpture Park, North Yorkshire, UK, Orchard Residences in Singapore, the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Baltimore and more.
