About the Item
Últimamente mi obra se compone de dos series. La primera llamada “paisajes casi abstractos” con grandes empastes expresionistas de óleo y, una segunda, denominada “Acumulador de tormentas”, mas informalista realizada con resinas, pigmentos, cemento, polvo de cristal, etc
Estos paisajes no buscan ser una copia de la realidad. Mi pretensión es desposeerlos de lo accesorio y llegar a la emoción de la forma más directa posible. No se trata de hacer una representación al uso académico de un paisaje, sino transmitir la emoción que produce su contemplación o recuerdo. Se trata de pintura-pintura, visceral y primigenia sin más pretensión.
Mis pinturas reflejan paisajes exagerados, matéricos, con grandes empastes de óleo y con una pretensión casi escultórica. Las raíces son fundamentalmente expresionistas (expresionismo alemán, expresionismo abstracto americano, informalismo, art povera) y en los horizontes sólo faltaría eliminar la línea del horizonte para llegar a la pura abstracción. En esta línea de horizonte, el cielo y la tierra se contaminan mutuamente, de modo que es imposible determinar dónde comienza uno y dónde termina el otro.
En el arte me gusta la obra abocetada, que se encuentre sin ejecutar totalmente, que tenga un toque imperfecto y gestual antes que la pintura más terminada. Se trata de destilar la emoción pura y olvidar aquello que es trivial o anecdótico.
