About the Item

Artist Commentary: All of my ceramic sculptures are well crafted, hand-built and one of a kind. Keywords: Abstract Artist Biography: Judith grew up 15 miles north of Milwaukee in the town of Mequon, Wisconsin, an old mid-western farming community transformed into a suburb during the early 1950's. It was there that she acquired a deep fascination and connection with nature due to the numerous open fields and woodlands. In 1991, Judith received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Austin, Texas to attend graduate school. She received her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994. Judith has been working with clay and painting for over thirty years. Her work is in private collections, and has been included in numerous invitational, and juried shows throughout the United States. She has also received various honors, awards and grants throughout her career. Judith continues to live and work in Austin, Texas. She has been an Adjunct Associate Professor, at Austin Community College for twenty years. Judith has also taught at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, and a Lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin.
