About the Item
Contemporary Minimal Gold Brass sculpture, gilded and then lacquered to keep its shiny surface.
Limited edition of 10
Kuno Vollet is a sculptor working with different materials such as clay, bronze and brass.
Other works are not cast but heated and forged from iron in the forge. Each work finally gets its own patina and base. Some bronze work is polished until it shines golden. His works include large scale outdoor sculptures as well as delicate gold leafed sculptures.
His sculptures are inherently elegant and timeless. His forms are obvious yet there is a part that dissolves unexpectedly. It falls down and yet seems to stop and rest. Here an aspect of timelessness and transcendence comes into play, in the sense of a concept of time that understands eternity not as an infinite state, but as the endless depth of a single moment. Kuno Vollet has succeeded in his latest works to give shape to this depth of the moment.
