“Mi Bao” paddy is Taiwan 's early years’ main agricultural development, rice is people staple food. “Seed” planted with love, working hard to nurture them, then ready to cheer for the harvest!
“Mi Bao ”series is presented in a rice figure with a pair of wings and a copter on the top of head. Tiny seed, an initial state of the plant is full of hopes, waiting for the continuation of life. This little people is optimistic about the plight of life. Food is the first necessity of the people. If only a person is full, he will have strength to move forward, fighting for good economy.
Genetically modified food, is an issue to the entire world, having to solve the food shortage problem, we had to improve all the food, and slowly humans have to accept such a fact, unconsciously the animal body automatically changes, it is another genetic engineering. The subject matter may be very old and serious, but Liao try to be witty when discussing this unsolved topic. She transforms rice, she calls it “Taiwan stem Mi Bao”, into sculpture. Presented in large grain form, so oneself can get full by just eating rice. To solve the problem of high food prices and shortage on supply, let this lovely and full of power fat rice sculpture take us forward!
