About the Item

Opportune Moment 晴时多云偶阵雨 ( Edition of 6) Award winning sculpture - 2015 National Art Exhibition Sculpture - Gold Award 2017 Certificate of Excellent, Arts & Crafts Design Award The upper part is a cloud, vaguely revealing a human shape, like being hidden in a cloud, which means that in any environment, you can move around with your heart without being obstructed by the external environment. The strong material is used to express softness on the outside and rigidity on the inside, and the tail of the cloud The tail of the dinosaur is also exposed. The seemingly changeable and soft cloud appearance actually retains its own personality. The middle is the epitome of the urban jungle. The oxidation of red copper produces the natural vicissitudes of life, representing the unstoppable time and time. Looking from top to bottom, there is a hidden image in the middle. "Cross" is a moral norm and a burden of responsibility. , follow our footsteps invisibly and walk in the world. The subject of the central part consists of overlapping and interlocking urban symbol that form a crowded and interwoven body. The immerse cloud that covers the city is a metaphor for the sky and the stainless material shines with constantly varying colours under the sunlight. The seven drops of water that form the base of the city is the foundation on which urban life proceeds. At the bottom, seven drops of rain represent seven days a week, water is the softest and the strongest, dripping water penetrates stone, these three are combined into one, with multiple meanings, and it also represents the infinite power of nature, the inseparability of man and nature, and the embodiment of love and tolerance. The sculpture leads to us to imagine the legendary state of distant antiquity in which people lived nomadically, but also provides a sketch of people’s present-day lives. The impression given by the sculpture as a whole is of a cloud full of rain drifting above the city, and about to let fall a downpour that will wash the city and cause water to percolate into the earth. It also evokes race of coloured sunlight passing through wisps of cloud and shining on a city, where the earth absorbs the moisture and nourishes human life. The uncertainty symbolised by art can arouse boundless associations and this is the strength and salient characteristic of symbolized art.
