About the Item
Perfection Edition of 16
The shape of the sculpture “Perfection” resembles the number 8, and if we rotate it a little to the side it will become the symbol infinity. Infinity means forever, but as we all know, nothing is forever except the love of a mother towards her child. Liao Ying Hsi as a mother herself relates to that and puts that emotion into her sculpture. In the upper left side of the sculpture, there is a beak representing the mother bird and the other side with a wide open beak waiting to be fed is the chick. Both intertwined together presenting the love of a mother never ends. It was sculpted from stainless steel and gold foils were added to some parts to represent prosperity.
