About the Item
Slow Curve 352 is from Linda Stein’s Knights of Protection series, which are shield-like forms made of mixed media that hang on the wall. They function simultaneously as defenders in battle, symbols of protection and emblems of pacificism.
This artwork was exhibited in a solo exhibition titled "Heroic Visions" at Longstreth Goldberg Art in Florida in 2006 and a solo exhibition titled "(K)night Watch" at New York University in 2005. This sculpture is made of wood, metal, stone and mixed media.
Stein's works are in more than 25 museum permanent collections, including Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Georgia Museum of Art, and Ringling Museum of Art in the US; Victoria Gallery & Museum and Manchester Art Gallery in the UK; Espoo Museum of Modern Art in Finland; and Konstmuseet i Skövde in Sweden.
