Lino Tagliapietra
Mandala

2005

About the Item

Blue, the color of the sea, of the sky, used a lot by Lino Tagliapietra. Mandala has two meanings. Externally it’s a visual representation of the universe. Internally it’s a guide to the practices of many Asian traditions, such as meditation. The Mandala is the representation of the cycle: happening, repeating and existing. Lino Tagliapietra's creatures are the link between different times and places. Mandala, in particular, it’s the symbol of a deeper connection with the inner self and the universe. Mandala's multiple layering technique makes the piece mystical, exuberant and mysterious.
