About the Item
In Ford Shelby Blue, this dramatic sculpture by California artist Lori Cozen-Geller is rooted in minimalism. Using the rich glossy palette of cars—a nod to the west coast’s car culture and as a tribute to her late father (who loved cars), Cozen-Geller creates pieces inspired by emotion. This work is intended to be a comment on life and the message is a personal mantra--“live it with conviction.”
“Although my art is an expression of my own personal feelings, these emotions are universal to all of us.” Lori Cozen-Geller
“You can't sit on them or use them; you can only look at them. And you can't stop looking at them. They call attention to - well, not to themselves so much as to what they are saying. They attempt to reach across a verbal-visual divide to tell stories - or, rather, to elaborate on aspects of the human, and natural, condition.” Peter Frank, Art Critic
Lori Cozen Geller lives in California and acquired a BA from the University of Southern California. Her first work took shape within hours of a profound loss in her life--her father's passing. Cozen-Geller’s studio is in Venice Beach, California. Her work is held in private and public collections in North America.

Lori Cozen-Geller
Lori Cozen-Geller is a Los Angeles-based artist. During her creative process, she looks to capture the emotions of the heart and mind and places them into visual form within space. "This process is a kinetic one for me. It is a journey that begins with a feeling, evolves into a powerful emotion and is then transformed into art. By freezing emotions and placing them into concrete form, I can then sit back and view the strength and meaning that now lies within the piece that has materialized as art. " - Cozen-Geller Cozen-Geller grew up in California. Her education includes a BA from the University of Southern California. She lives in Venice, California and works out of her Venice studio. Lori's first work took shape within hours of her father's passing in which the artist translated her feelings of love and loss onto a scrap of paper, the blueprint for her first piece of work.

Red Anteater Large Garden Sculpture
signed, limited edition #4/10, 84" tall
Joseph Meerbott has been constructing bronze, metal sculptures, and ceramics for over 30 years. Schooled at Florida Atlantic University, with a BA in Fine Arts, his education covers a broad spectrum of artistic mediums. Influenced by the works of Picasso to Matisse, Meerbott sculptures embody the spirit of Pop Art. In his personal style, Meerbott transforms acclaimed two-dimensional post-modern works into dynamic three-dimensional sculptures. The results are instantly familiar yet firmly unique pieces of modern art. Joseph Meerbott utilizes welded aluminum as well as bronze for the creation of his sculptures. Meerbott uses urethane-based enamels to allow for his works to be exhibited in all locations, both indoor and outdoor. The sculptures themselves range in size, from the intimate to the grandiose, and can be built to site-specific requirements. 2000 - 2012 Featured Artist - Elaine Baker Gallery Boca Raton, Florida 2000 - 2012 Featured Artist - Collectors Corner...
