This unique-piece abstract sculpture, named “ Abrabesque”, was created and shaped by Lutfi Romhein directly from 2 mm thick 316L stainless steel sheets.
This abstract artwork with very pure lines evokes dance and lightness. It has a mirror polished finishing. The sculpture rotates on its axis which is placed on a Carrara marble base, weighing 30 kg with its pedestal.
A graduate from the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara, in Italy, Lutfi Romhein is a sculptor of Syrian origin, living in France since the mid-2000s. Lutfi Romhein likes to explore a diversity of styles, but also of materials : marble, fine woods, stainless steel, slate, plexiglas… He is particularly renowned in Syria, the Middle East and in Italy.
