Artist Commentary:
Tears of Joy. Most of my work focuses on the bittersweet feeling of joy. This piece was made for/inspired by a couple who were celebrating 25 years together. The tears are made of fiberglass in a gold finish with fire-painted copper frames and custom built hanging attachments. This piece was made over the course of three months and was installed in the couple's private home in Seattle.

Artist Biography:
Mini Mukherjee is an award-winning sculptor, metalwork artist and artistic director. Her studio is based in Orange County, California. Mukherjee’s signature fire-painted textures and abstract forms in copper, brass, and steel have been exhibited globally in galleries, public art installations and private collections, including in Los Angeles, Vienna, and Chicago. Mukherjee lives in Laguna Beach, California with her husband and daughter.
