About the Item
Nayla Kai Saroufim is a Lebanese artist based in Los Angeles and Beirut. She earned a degree in Illustration and Art Direction from the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts. She had worked in the publicity field at several multinational advertising agencies, when she began to connect with her passion for art again. Since then, she has been working as a full time artist for over two decades, using art as a form of expression. Saroufim’s artworks vary in abstract to realistic elements, often inspired by pop art, abstract expressionism, street art, and cartoon.
In 2013, she started working predominantly in metal, creating installations with steel, copper, and other materials like resin. While they are industrial and cold in nature, Saroufim uses and transforms them into warm and organic poetry of humanity. Her works are uplifting and joyful, leaving the audience in a positive atmosphere. They come in many different forms such as small sculptures, large installations, and even benches. The works come into the audience’s spaces, and bring happiness, colour, and brightness into them.
Saroufim’s works have been showcased globally, and are currently on display in prominent cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Seoul, London, Paris, Madrid, Doha, and Dubai.

- Dom Pérignon Balloon VenusBy Jeff KoonsLocated in New York, NYBalloon Dog is an iconic work within the highly acclaimed Celebration series, which JEFF KOONS began in the mid 1990s. The Celebration artworks reference certain times of year (holidays and birthdays) but also the celebration of the cycle of life. What else could suggest the cheer of children’s parties more eloquently than a colorful balloon, twisted into the instantly recognizable form of a dog. According to the artist, “It is about celebration and childhood and color and simplicity – but it’s also a Trojan horse. It’s a Trojan horse to the whole body of art work.” Balloon Dog has the profoundness of an archaic sculpture. The monumental Balloon Dog sculptures...Category

- Knife V (Blue Knife)By Kevin KellyLocated in New York, NY"As an artist, I am fascinated by the inherent balance and symmetry possible in geometric structures, which reflect the order and structure underlying the natural world. By embracing these forms, I strive to create a sculpture that conveys a sense of harmony, balance, and serenity. At the same time, I am captivated by the expressive potential of abstract figurative sculpture. The human form, stripped of literal representation, can convey a sense of universality and connection. Through simplification and abstraction, I aim to distill the essence of the human form, inviting viewers to explore the tension between the geometric and the figurative. Combining these two influences, my artistic practice is driven by a desire to create works that resonate with people from all walks of life. I aspire to offer moments of contemplation, inviting viewers to engage with the sculptures and discover their own personal narratives within the forms." - Kevin Kelly. Kevin Kelly was born in upstate New York and graduated from Pratt Institute in 1982. He has been living and working in Dumbo, Brooklyn, since 2007. He has shown his work across the United States, including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Santa Fe, and Westport. His work is in numerous collections, including Simon Cowell in Los Angeles. His piece Solar Powered Cell Phone Charger...Category
