About the Item
This astonishing artwork titled "Deji" is an abstract sculpture in polished bronze dated 1985, the period in which the artist was present to twice editions of Biennale of Venice, International art event.
Her ispiration take start from conceptual experiences and Body Art.
Patrizia Guerresi is an Internationally well known Italian artist. She born in Vicenza, Italy in 1951. Photograph, sculptor and video author, Patrizia Guerresi converted in 1989 to the Muslim religion Murid in Senegal, with the name of Maimouna. Her artistic research start from the conceptual experiences of the Body Art with a predilection for photo images and sculpture use.
She exhibited twice at the Biennial Art in Venice, in 1982 and 1986. Starting from 1990 she took part in important national and international exhibitions, in Italy, Europe, United States and Africa.
The base is in laquered black wood. This piece is a unique and signed artist proof.
