Wood, Plastic Tablecloth, Resin
Repurposed materials including stained wood and a plastic table cloth are collaged together and coated with resin to create an abstract composition juxtaposing the dark wood with a sheet of bright green and yellow floral-patterning.
Artist Commentary:
Made by combining wood and a plastic table cloth, all coated in resin. The title is somewhat whimsical, imagining the boarder of a black hole.
Artist Biography:
Paul Guillemette is originally from Red Lake Falls, MN. He majored in ceramic sculpture at The University of Montana in Missoula, MT. He has been living in LA for 15 years. His work is in several museum collections in Montana and he has exhibited mostly in Montana, Washington, and California.
