About the Item

Sara Fine-Wilsons ”Eddy” is a gestural 11.5 x 14 x 12 inch ceramic sculpture in pale cream with accents of warm sepia, and grey. In this graceful and evocative sculpture individual slab elements are assembled, layered in glaze in some areas and left bare in others and fired in a reduced atmosphere. This process emphasizes the smooth fluid quality of the form. Fine-Wilson combines both raw and refined aesthetic qualities in her work by incorporating smooth, glossy, matte, rough and cracked surfaces. Sara Fine-Wilson is a contemporary sculptor based in the Boston area. In  her work she explores ideas about the emerging form of our subconscious mind. She also explores material, process and pushes boundaries. Fine-Wilson is represented by Fountain Street Gallery based in Boston, MA.
